Madison is a dear friend of mine. She is a muse to me because of the way she lives her life close to the water and the people she loves. I always know where to find Madison... at her spot in Encinitas where the ocean meets the shoreline. I love how Madison lives her life in alignment with her values. She is a sun worshipper + water whisperer.
The shoreline truly holds the most resonant sense of “home” to me…I always know where to find you in Encinitas... close to where the ocean meets the shoreline. I don't know anyone who spends more time at the ocean than you. Why are you always at the beach?
and having what can best be described as a devotional practice of sitting with the ocean, I’ve come to know it as a landscape of reflection.
It’s the place where my truest self can spring forth and guide the way.
It is also home to my beloved community- the place where I can see loved ones with regularity and invite spontaneity into my day.
How would you describe your personal style? Is it a feeling? A time and place? A story in colors?
Over the past few years my style has truly settled into a rhythm of functional, flowing familiarly-
swathed in cozy natural fibers (or otherwise just my bikini), in shades of white and neutrals almost camouflaged to my environment.
The vibe leans towards “shipwreck” (blue lagoon visions, the little mermaid tying up a dress out of a cloth sail and rope, etc.), but it’s tinged with influence from my younger years working for Japanese designers.

What does a dream day look like to you?
As much time outside as possible- spent with community and indulging in delectable, nourishing foods. Honestly many of my days are “dream days;” I am fully blessed and fully grateful.
What inspires you? Books, films, etc.?
The textures that the water creates over stones and sand, the layers of color within rocks tumbled by sea, the sparkle of sunlight dancing on ripples of water, luscious natural textiles,
the inner voice that speaks like a spark in the calm sea of consciousness,
the beautiful web of women I am connected to
I hold a vision for a vast shift in awareness, that reignites the knowledge of our inherent power and the magic of our bodies/beings as part of this earth… for rest, health, and wholeness to be considered in all things. What are your visions for the future? For yourself and the world? What are your non-negotiables in life?
My non negotiables in living are sun (soaking up as much as possible), ocean, time for contemplation/reflection and finding the beauty in all things, my ritualistic and decadent morning coffee, and a regular high-quality steak night.
What are you passionate about?
It feels paradoxical to simplify my true passions into a brief answer; find me along the shoreline and you may receive the full download of: my theories on our bodies interaction with water and sunlight, cetaceans and communication/consciousness, the stories within and around stones,
and whatever other topics my inquiring mind is diving into during a given week…
